A speaker of them will say: "Verily, I had a companion (in the world),
View Contextقَالَ قَائِلٌ مِّنْهُمْ إِنِّي كَانَ لِي قَرِينٌ

Who used to say: "Are you among those who believe (in resurrection after death).
View Contextيَقُولُ أَإِنَّكَ لَمِنَ الْمُصَدِّقِينَ
English:Mohsin Khan & Halali
"(That) when we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed (be raised up) to receive reward or punishment (according to our deeds)?"
View Contextأَإِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَإِنَّا لَمَدِينُونَ
English:Mohsin Khan & Halali
(The man) said: "Will you look down?"
View Contextقَالَ هَلْ أَنتُم مُّطَّلِعُونَ
English:Mohsin Khan & Halali
So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire.
View Contextفَاطَّلَعَ فَرَآهُ فِي سَوَاءِ الْجَحِيمِ
English:Mohsin Khan & Halali
He said: "By Allah! You have nearly ruined me.
View Contextقَالَ تَاللَّهِ إِن كِدتَّ لَتُرْدِينِ
English:Mohsin Khan & Halali
"Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought forth (to Hell)."
View Contextوَلَوْلَا نِعْمَةُ رَبِّي لَكُنتُ مِنَ الْمُحْضَرِينَ
English:Mohsin Khan & Halali
(Allah informs about that true believer that he said): "Are we then not to die (any more)?
View Contextأَفَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَيِّتِينَ

"Except our first death, and we shall not be punished? (after we have entered Paradise)."
View Contextإِلَّا مَوْتَتَنَا الْأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ

Truly, this is the supreme success!
View Contextإِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ

For the like of this let the workers work.
View Contextلِمِثْلِ هَٰذَا فَلْيَعْمَلِ الْعَامِلُونَ

Is that (Paradise) better entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum (a horrible tree in Hell)?
View Contextأَذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ نُّزُلًا أَمْ شَجَرَةُ الزَّقُّومِ
