Nay! Verily, he has been stubborn and opposing Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.).
View Contextكَلَّا ۖ إِنَّهُ كَانَ لِآيَاتِنَا عَنِيدًا
English:Mohsin Khan & Halali
I shall oblige him to (climb a slippery mountain in the Hell-fire called As-Sa'ud, or to) face a severe torment!
View Contextسَأُرْهِقُهُ صَعُودًا
English:Mohsin Khan & Halali
Verily, he thought and plotted;
View Contextإِنَّهُ فَكَّرَ وَقَدَّرَ
English:Mohsin Khan & Halali
So let him be cursed! How he plotted!
View Contextفَقُتِلَ كَيْفَ قَدَّرَ

And once more let him be cursed, how he plotted!
View Contextثُمَّ قُتِلَ كَيْفَ قَدَّرَ
ثُمَّ نَظَرَ

Then he frowned and he looked in a bad tempered way;
View Contextثُمَّ عَبَسَ وَبَسَرَ
English:Mohsin Khan & Halali
Then he turned back and was proud;
View Contextثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ وَاسْتَكْبَرَ
English:Mohsin Khan & Halali
Then he said: "This is nothing but magic from that of old;
View Contextفَقَالَ إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ يُؤْثَرُ

"This is nothing but the word of a human being!"
View Contextإِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا قَوْلُ الْبَشَرِ
English:Mohsin Khan & Halali
I will cast him into Hell-fire
View Contextسَأُصْلِيهِ سَقَرَ
English:Mohsin Khan & Halali
And what will make you know exactly what Hell-fire is?
View Contextوَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا سَقَرُ
