Sex discipline
The life in this world is a test for all human beings. Everyone is born with humanly needs and desires. Allah سبحانه وتعالى does not want us to suppress our needs and desires completely but to fulfil these within the boundaries (Hudood) set forth by Him through the guidance of The Holy Quraan and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم. The successful people are the ones who take up what is permissible (Halaal) and leave out what is not permissible (Haraam).
In an Islamic society, individuals are encouraged to fulfil their sexual needs by permissible means, through the institution of marriage. Marriage is, in fact, the foundation of family system and results in discipline and harmony in the society. Any extra-marital relationship is not only prohibited but is a major crime and a great act of sin, attracting punishment in this world and in the hereafter.
Islam insists upon prevention of sexual misconduct by creating an environment of barrier (Hijaab). Thus men and women are directed to lower their gazes when interacting & be modest in their dress and women are directed to cover themselves properly when in public to avoid provocation. Marriage of single men and women in the society is encouraged, whether be bachelors, divorced or widowed. The society and the government have an important role to play in this regard to facilitate an environment in which individuals can live a disciplined life.
