The prescribed time

The Holy Quran has described the sequence of events that led to the destruction of many nations in the past as a result of their persistence on the disobedience to the orders of Allah سبحانه وتعالى. When a final decision is made to destroy a nation, a time is prescribed by Allah سبحانه وتعالى and then no power in the universe can change the ill-fate of that nation. The final destruction that descended on the nations of the past was sudden, unexpected and relentless. The usual time of the onset of these events was either when the people were sleeping or when they were busy in their games. The nature of the wrath which lead to their destruction was also different for different nations.
