The Holy Quran & the old scriptures

Throughout the history of mankind, Allah سبحانه وتعالى has been sending the messengers for the guidance of human beings. Many of these messengers were given scriptures as a means of guidance. All messengers and all scriptures have been preaching the same basic concepts of Monotheism, submission to Allah سبحانه وتعالى and the resurrection on the Day of Judgment. What is described in The Holy Quran is a continuity of the same concepts; and basic teachings of The Holy Quran conform to the messages of the previous prophets. Thus when The Holy Quran was revealed, the learned scholars of the Jews and Christians could clearly recognize it as a divine message and those scholars who converted to Islam testified to this fact. Similarly, The Holy Quran testifies the authenticity of old scriptures (e.g. The Tourat and The Injeel; in their original format) as divine books send down to the previous messengers for the guidance of their followers. In fact, The Holy Quran provided answers to many disputed matters between the Jews and the Christians of the time of The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. The Holy Quran also testifies the prophet hood of the Prophets that were sent down in the past to all localities and all nations of the world from the Prophet Adam عليه السلام to The Prophet Eisa- Jesus عليه السلام. The names and the stories of some of these prophets have been narrated in The Holy Quran while others have not been narrated.
