Detriments of denial of the Holy Quran

The Holy Quran was revealed for the guidance of the humanity with a clear message. It explains the purpose of the creation of human beings and the universe, gives glad-tidings for good deeds and warns of the ill-consequences of evil deeds. The denial of the Holy Quran and its teachings, thus, would result in a purposeless worldly life and failure in the hereafter. The disbeliever would thus be denied the blessings of Allah سبحانه وتعالى and will have to face His wrath on the Day of Judgment. Many verses of The Holy Quran have warned of the consequences of the denial of the message of Allah سبحانه وتعالى in great detail and one should study them with the intention of striving to avoid these consequences. One of the major reason for denial of the Holy Quran and its teachings is undue arrogance and pride on the part of dis-believers to accept the truth. This tendency make them shut their eyes and ears from the true message even if it is very obvious and clear. Allah سبحانه وتعالى has equated these people to those who are deaf, dumb and blind (from perceiving the truth). Some others try to hide or distort the message of the verses of The Holy Quran to gain worldly benefits and Allah سبحانه وتعالى has declared it a grievous misconduct. Allah سبحانه وتعالى has revealed in the Holy Quran that the people of scripture (The Jews & the Christians) are very well aware of the authenticity of the Holy Quran in the light on the knowledge given to them in their scriptures; and they were, in fact, waiting for the arrival of The Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم and The Holy Quran. They denied the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and The Holy Quran only because of their pride and arrogance [The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم was from Bani-Ismail descent and they were expecting the last prophet to come from their lineage i.e. Bani-Israel].
